One of my passions that I enjoy are *Video Games*

The Origin

I remember when my father first bought me Nintendo when I was four years old. (Before that he had an Atari that I never even touched). We used to sit and play together and it was a cool bonding moment that I remember to this day. That later went to Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, Playstation, Playstation 2, Xbox 360 (Favorite of all time) to now playing on PC and Playstation 4. I've always been a competitive person, so when I could no longer play sports at a high level, video games have always been there.

Battle Royal Games

Battle Royale Style video games have become increasingly popular over the years. They take place in an online atmosphere when it can be 50, 100 or even 200 players in one match. The object is to deploy into the world of the specific video game and be the last man or team left to win. There is no respawning, or coming back to life after you've been eliminated unless theres a team mate around that can revive you when you're "downed". This makes for a very intense and strategic atmosphere as you loot to pick up weapons and explore all the amazing things the maps have to offer in their games. I still do enjoy online play in regular Multiplayer but something about getting a win on a Battle Royale platform is so much more satisfying to me.

Video games keep me connected

I'm originally from New Jersey and moved to Florida in 2017. While I've made friends down here, all the friends I've known the longest and are closest to are still living in New Jersey. My friends as well as I always have life happening. Whether it's a significant other, a child, jobs or school. This makes it hard to find a time where we can all play together but on those rare nights that we're all online together it's so much fun. It's like I'm middle school again making fun of each other asking each other how their days were all while trying to use strategy to play together.

But I'm not in middle school...

I'm 30.
But I think we all need that escape once and awhile and I'm glad I get to share that with my friends.
